Thank you for presenting over the 2 days of our Reach leaders camp. Coming from a professional sports background and working with young people I know getting young people to eat healthily is a hard task.

Young people today think they’re eating well but are very unaware of what they are really eating and how it impacts their bodies, now and in their future. They don’t have the same motivation as athletes so it is tough getting them to understand the point in going to the effort. What you managed to do today was make them realize that their bodies do matter.

You managed to communicate a powerful message to them more effectively than the professional athletes they have been exposed to.

It helps that you live and breathe what you are talking about and everyone responded to your easy to live by balanced approach that doesn’t take enormous sacrifice. You just gave them choice and let them make the decision. You are clearly passionate about what you are doing.

Your ability to connect to a tough audience is extraordinary.
Jim Stynes – Director – Reach

I have watched Sherry on the platform and it changed my strategy for good health. We hear lots about improving our lives by healthier eating habits, but rarely are we moved to take action. Sherry, through a wonderful fun loving and informative presentation, engages the audience, plays with them and brings them to a place of actually wanting to improve their own lives. Watch and listen to Sherry and it will truly improve your life.

Sherry Strong presented at our National Retail Store Managers in September 2004. The Manager of our TBS @ Home Business recommended Sherry to me, as Sherry had presented to them at the own Managers Retreat.

Christmas in Retail is hectic time for everyone in our business. Our store managers in particular work very long hours, for the better part on their feet running large teams and serving customers. Our Xmas period runs for 7 weeks and our managers need to stay focussed, alert and full of energy.

We asked Sherry to advise our Managers on how they can look after their bodies through nutrition, and to help them make informed choices about what they eat while working through Christmas.

The response we had from our managers was overwhelmingly positive.

I would recommend her without hesitation.
Leasa Cahill – National Retail Manager – The Body Shop

Sherry Strong took a weekend of cooking classes at Ruth Pretty Cooking School on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June 2004.

We had been told by International Cooking School operators that classes on healthy eating don’t sell but we had had sufficient interest from our students to believe that they might. Sherry’s classes were hot. The weekend filled within 48 hours and we had a waiting list of 35 people.

Sherry was easy to deal with right from our first contact. She was always prompt with information and worked to the deadlines we provided. She was obliging in answering our questions and when she arrived in our kitchen she fitted in with everyone.

We will definitely have Sherry back to take a class at Ruth Pretty Cooking School and hope that she will return in 2005 to take a weekend of vegetarian classes.

Feedback from Tasmanian Masterclass at Strathlynn Vineyard
The following is an excerpt from Michelle Rounds column. Michelle has publicly declared Sherry’s presentation to be one of the best they have had, considering they have had such noted chefs and presenters as Matthew Moran, Anne Whelan, Guy Grossi, Teage Ezard, Stefano Di Pieri, and Karen Martini this is high praise indeed.

Appetite Column in the Sunday Examiner by Michelle Round

It is thrilling when a common-or-garden cooking class on a quiet Tuesday night turns into theatre and performance, complete with great food, a passionate affirmation of the pleasures of cooking and eating and, not least, a philosophy on life, the universe and everything. So it was with Sherry Strong (Food Lovers Workshop in Melbourne), and her presentation at Strathlynn. It was a banquet of ideas that one could sup from, or leave, at your pleasure.

Strong is an enthusiast for organic foods, but here was no hippy in dungarees. A glamorous blonde with trademark hip, snazzy black specs, she wooed the audience in peddling her palatable message of ‘Dead sexy, life-friendly foods’.

Sherry Strong sang most eloquently of the pure joy of cooking as the most nurturing of activities, for others and for oneself. Here are some of her gems.
